Physical Education/ Support Classroom Teacher

 

Applications are invited for the position of Physical Education/Support Teacher commencing January 2023

St Mary's Primary School is a double stream co-educational Catholic Primary School catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. A 1:1 IPad Programme exists in Years 3-6.

St Mary's is a dynamic, vibrant and innovative school with an emphasis on developing a strong sense of Christian community. The teaching programs strengthen and enhance learning opportunities across all Curriculum Areas. Current resources and excellent facilities are a feature of the school environment.

St Mary's Primary School enjoys a strong relationship with the parish, and for over 100 years, has played an important role in the establishment of Catholic Education in the Goldfields. Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons who can demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the following areas;

-A strong identity with the Catholic faith.

-A demonstrated ability to build relationships across the school community and a high level of interpersonal skills.

-Willingness to collaborate with other Staff and work in a Team Environment.

-Provide evidence of data-informed teaching practice through the application of assessment and continuous monitoring strategies of achievement practices.

-Provide a teaching/learning program that provides instruction in Physical Education and Fundamental Movement Skills.

Coordinate the School's Athletic's Carnivals and Sport Programme.

-Have high expectations about children's ability to learn.

-A willingness to participate in reflective practice as part of a professional learning community.

Appropriate Teaching Qualifications.

Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia

Accreditation to teach Religious Education is desirable
