CHAPEL

Old Chapel building

The beautiful Chapel building originally formed part of the St John of God hospital Buildings. It was used by the Sisters of St John of God for their daily devotions. The building was gifted to the school in 1980. It houses beautiful iconic statues and wonderful depictions of the Station of the Cross.

The Chapel was refurbished in 2000. New carpets were laid, pews varnished, and stools upholstered.

A new altar and lectern were made by Dennis Hicks to bring the chapel back to its former glory.

The Chapel is used today for Parent/Teacher Masses, Class Liturgies, Staff Reflections, Reconciliations, Choir and Altar Server training. At times, the Chapel is also used by teachers or by the school Priest in religion lessons to explain parts of the Mass and the Stations of the Cross.

The Chapel can also be used for Baptisms and Anniversary Masses and small family celebrations.

As a school we are so fortunate to have access to such a beautiful sacred space.
